Pronunciation:/juːˈtəʊpɪə/
noun
- an imagined place or state of things in which everything is perfect. The word was first used in the book Utopia (1516) by Sir Thomas More.As my idea for a utopia is imaginary, it still is somewhat realistic. But it surely is not a picture of a whole world, because most people would not be able to live in this utopia, let alone understand it.The Utopia starts with 20 individuals teaming up. 20 is an arbitrary number, but it's the least amount of people needed to start it up.The first phase would consist of preparation; spotting and buying a large enough plot of land, arranging building materials and temporary living facilities. In Phase Two, two buildings are constructed; a community building which will serve as the main living facilities for the duration of Phase Two, and a growroom, which will be used to produce most of our food items. Also during this phase, agricultural preparations should be taken, as the community might need a livestock, mainly cows and chickens.Phase Three consists of constructing 20 housing units spreaded around the community building. 20 houses for 20 people is sufficient, even when there are population changes. Empty houses can be used for new recruits or even a visitor. Livestock and growroom should be up to speed by now. As the housing units are finished, the community building can be transformed and even expanded for group purposes. These broad outlines would be the first phases to realize the project. The goals of the Utopia are self-sufficiency, living in harmony with nature and of course, collective happiness through personal happiness. Also, I do not believe there is any purpose for personal possessions within this community. Everything belongs to everyone, as we are all equal. As for government... A much needed debate is still needed for this topic, so I will leave this for another topic.I must remind you, this is a very broad outline of the project, I will go into much deeper detail in following posts. I would love to hear suggestions or maybe bugs you see in this project.
